Case Study

Oil & Gas

ONEDyas

Client Overview:

ONE-Dyas is a leading upstream oil and gas operator in the North Sea, with a focus on innovation, collaboration, and safe operations. As part of their efforts to enhance cross-operator cooperation and safety standards in the Southern North Sea (SNS), ONE-Dyas engaged Lexi to lead a strategic initiative uniting regional developers under a common framework.

The Challenge:

Despite operating in close proximity, developers in the Southern North Sea had no formal structure for collaboration—particularly around shared health and safety challenges, human factors, and regulatory engagement. ONE-Dyas recognised the need for a unified platform to align operators, streamline dialogue with the **Health and Safety Executive (HSE)**, and share operational learnings.

The Strategic Approach:

Lexi led the creation and implementation of a multi-operator collaboration group. The SNS Hub bringing together stakeholders from across the region to establish shared safety goals, standardise procedures, and promote knowledge exchange.

Establishing the SNS Hub:

Lexi reached out to all regional developers and successfully established a dedicated collaboration forum.

Key achievements:

• Formation of the SNS Hub, uniting gas operators across the Southern North Sea.

• Creation of a shared platform for peer-to-peer discussion, alignment, and action.

• Clear objectives around joint representation, HSE engagement, and safety standardisation.

Delivering Tangible Safety Outcomes:

The SNS Hub rapidly evolved into a results-driven working group focused on critical offshore safety initiatives.

Notable accomplishments:

• Development and delivery of a region-wide COVID-19 evacuation process, including offshore medical assistance procedures.

• Joint consultation and response to locally specific HSE challenges, such as Normally Unattended Installation (NUI) procedures.

• A collaborative approach to addressing human factors, promoting consistent standards across operators.

Ongoing Leadership and Industry Alignment:

Lexi continues to drive the evolution of the Hub, expanding its relevance and impact across the industry.

Strategic support includes:

• Ongoing coordination with key industry bodies, including close collaboration with Offshore Energies UK (OEUK) to align objectives and strengthen influence.

• Positioning the SNS Hub as a model for cross-operator collaboration, helping future-proof regional safety culture and operational standards.

Comprehensive Communications Support for ONE-Dyas

In parallel to driving the Hub initiative, Lexi has supported ONE-Dyas with end-to-end communications for the Sean Papa asset.

Scope of support:

• Development of internal staff campaigns and communications to promote clarity and cohesion across teams.

• Production of regulatory-compliant documentation for internal and external use, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to industry standards.

The Outcome:

The SNS Hub has transformed the way gas operators in the Southern North Sea collaborate:

• Shared ownership of health and safety procedures across multiple operators

• Streamlined engagement with the HSE on regionally specific concerns

• Improved communication standards and internal alignment for ONE-Dyas’ operational teams

Conclusion:

This case study demonstrates the value of strategic leadership in fostering regional collaboration. Through the creation of the SNS Hub and ongoing communications support for ONE-Dyas, Lexi has helped build a sustainable foundation for safety, transparency, and operational excellence across the Southern North Sea energy sector.
